OUR STORY

Eat Osaka began as a collaboration between friends and local businesses in 2015. With a simple vision of bringing people together through food, the company was founded in a cozy kitchen next to a small knife shop in the Shin Sekai neighbourhood of South Osaka.

As word spread and enthusiasm grew, our classes gained in popularity and in a few short years we had become one of the most popular cooking experiences in Japan with coverage in local, national and even international press.

Unfortunately with the coming of the Covid pandemic we lost our kitchen, our hardware and all of our staff. The loss was a little too much to bear and the whole enterprise was mothballed.

In early 2024 however, a chance encounter led to the idea of restarting our company and after a bit of nervous negotiating, we decided to go for it and Eat Osaka was reborn.

We spent the rest of 2024 updating our menus, reassembling our team and most importantly searching for, and finally finding a unique and quirky venue for our kitchen.

Though it has taken many years to rediscover the magic of those early years. Eat Osaka is now back and ready to welcome budding chefs from around the world for food, drinks, chats laughs and fun!
